Apple Butter Quilt Mystery

Apple Butter Mystery

Here is something : join the discussion at http://mystery.scrapdash.com/listinfo.cgi/mystery-lovers-scrapdash.com.  This is a mailing list for questions on this and any other mystery we may have. After you have subscribed, and confirmed your subscription, please send an email to the list so we can welcome you!  The email address will be mystery-lovers@mystery.scrapdash.com. If you are using gmail, the email will come to your promotions tab.  On this list, "reply" goes to the original poster and "reply all" goes to the list. Yes, there are archives.

The New Years Day Mystery is a 44" x 56" quilt called Apple Butter completed on 1/1/16.  It is a GREAT beginner quilt, and will help you use up all those annoying jelly rolls you have collected:-))  A jelly roll is usually a group of 40 strips 2-1/2" wide by the width of fabric, 4 of each color or print.  You won't use the whole thing so if you don't have 4 strips of any particular print, just substitute something similar.  You will also need the (3) different fat quarters and 2/3 of a yard for borders.

If you don't have a jelly roll, alternatives are given in the pattern.

The SuperBowl Sunday Mystery will make a larger quilt, and the fabric requirements are a little more elaborate.  The directions are here

Notes on this mystery:

WOF means Width of Fabric. A 1/4" seam is assumed. Please check this ahead of time!  If you sew (2) 2-1/2" strips together, your new 3-part strip should measure 6-1/2" wide after pressing.  If it does not, you need to correct your seam allowance before starting this mystery.

Copyright release: You may make one copy of this pattern for your personal use only. You may not copy it for paid or unpaid distribution.  You may make any number of quilts for your own use or gifts, and up to ten quilts for sale.
