Arnolds Attic

Barbara Brackmans' penpal, Arnold Savage, lives in an 1840 house that has been in his family for several generations. Over the years he has sent her many gifts of fabric swatches with a note, "I found this in the attic." His mother, his Aunt Alice and his grandmothers were quilters and confirmed fabric collectors. This collection of circa 1890's prints is named in their honor as well as the townships, the county and other places in Arnold's neighborhood.

The pattern for the quilt to the right is available in the August/September 2010 issue of Quilters Newsletter Magazine. 

These reproduction quilt fabrics are priced at $9.50 a yard.
