Jelly Thimbles
These little rubber thimbles come in four sizes and a variety of colors.  They are soft and flexible, comfortably molding to your finger yet they resist the needle nicely.

How to Size:  If you currently use a metal thimble that fits fairly well, measure the diameter of the opening with a metric ruler and compare it to My Favorite Thimble's nominal diameters. Petite is a size 3 or 14mm, small is a size 6 or 15mm, medium is a size 8 or 16mm, large is a size 10 or 17mm and x-large is a size 12 or 18mm in diameter.

Tip: This thimble is covered in a rubberized coating. The end of the thimble quickly becomes shredded from pushing the needle into the cloth in just normal use. To extend the life of the thimble, use a craft knife to cut away the rubber coating on the entire end of the thimble. That will leave the coating on the sides, which does a great job of helping grasp the needle to pull it thru the item being sewed.
