E-mail Club June 6, 2008
Hello and welcome back! This is the Quiltbus News and Views list, an occasional newsletter telling you about the events at the Quiltbug Shop or at the Hickory Hills Quiltbus website.
First, congratulations to our shop hop door prize winners - the big winner will be chosen June 11! Also, many thanks to those that participated in our Memorial Day mystery - you can see their pictures at http://www.quiltbug.com/free/country-pictures.htm The pattern for that is available - it’s called Stars in My Window and you can order it at http://quiltbus.com/quiltbug.htm
The drawing for the hand crafted afgans made for the Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event is June 8, so there is still time to buy a raffle ticket! A $1 donation will give you 1 opportunity, $5 will give you 7 and each additional $5 will add 10 more chances. All donations to the Diabetes Assn, of course.
The afgans are lovely. You can see them (and take a chance) at http://tinyurl.com/36rl5h Your donation will make a difference in the lives of more than 20 million Americans who suffer from diabetes and another 54 million people in the United States with pre-diabetes. More information on the American Diabetes Association, its programs and diabetes in general can be found at the Association's Web site: www.diabetes.org
New stuff: OK, I have to be honest here. Between the shop hop and two new granddaughters, I haven’t had much of a chance to update anything. There are new patterns scattered around both the website and the shop, and a couple of new notions, including the coveted Little Gripper (http://quiltbus.com/quilt-tools.htm ) I promise I will get the new fabric on line as soon as possible.
