Hello and welcome back! This is the Quiltbus News and Views list, an occasional newsletter telling you about the events at the Quiltbug Shop or at the Hickory Hills Quiltbus website.
We are busy, busy, busy here in the shop! We are part of a shop hop (http://quiltersquest.info/ ) at the end of this month and our theme is Christmas. It’s been a challenge to decorate for the theme without people thinking we have lost track of time:-)) The shop will be closed Monday, Memorial Day and we will probably use that day for decorating - and putting up the clues for the Memorial Day mystery, of course.
For those of you who have been anxiously awaiting the cutting instructions, here they are: http://quiltbug.com/free/country-nights.htm .One quick note - I am experimenting with a new web page layout. All the links on that page may not work properly. Don't worry about it. The mystery links will work:-))
In honor of our shop hop theme, we have lots of new winter
fabric - besides Benartex’s 12 Days of Christmas.
http://hickoryhillquilts.com/christmas.htm , we have a new line of Snowmen
and Penguins called Shivers:
http://hickoryhillquilts.com/shivers.htm Also new is Ladybug Love,
http://hickoryhillquilts.com/ladybug.htm a
very bright and cheerful line that comes with it’s own free pattern. There are
some new Splash blenders, too

I am excited about a couple of other new items in the shop, too. Have you seen the new Circle A Round book? Very, very clever free thinking ideas. The book takes you step by step through the process of setting in and layering circles. The book, ruler(s) and video is at http://www.quiltbus.com/Specialty-Rulers.htm While you are on that page, watch the video on the Guidelines ruler. I am really excited about that one, although we don't have the ruler in stock yet.
The Quilt Pink auctions have started again, and the three quilts donated by our shop are in the first round! To see a list of the quilts presently for sale, visit http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=quiltpinkauctions
I always try to leave you with something to make you smile, and here it is. Something I would never, ever, ever, EVER do: http://www.dinnerinthesky.com/
Enjoy!
