Magic Tricks

A Super Sunday Mystery
Feb 7, 2010

This is a very easy, very quick, very dramatic quilt!  It's almost magic how quickly this quilt comes together.  The mystery has been solved and the pictures are at the bottom of this page.  If you missed the the directions but would like to complete the pattern, you can order it here:

Magic Tricks Galore

It's almost magical how quickly you will finish this 58" x 58" quilt!  Learn new techniques while finishing this quilt in just one afternoon.

Available by instant download for only $3.95. Add to Cart

Note on this quilt:  You will be making a number of 2 1/2" (finished) Half Square Triangle Blocks. (HSTs)  The pattern gives you the traditional method of making them, but if you prefer another method, change the cutting directions where indicated.

If you are using Thangles, use the 2 1/2" size.  Note that strips for Thangles are cut the width of the unfinished HST.   In other words, instead of cutting 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" squares for the traditional method, cut 3" wide strips. See the Thangles package insert for more details.

These pictures are thumbnails.  Be sure to click on them to enjoy them close up.  The small versions are on the left, the larger ones on the right.
